 Musical Notes:  A bit of history on the genre of Reggaeton:
“Reggaeton” is a form of urban music that became popular with Latin American youth in the early 1990s. After its mainstream exposure in 2004, it spread to North American, European and Asian audiences. Reggaeton’s predecessor originated in Panama as reggae en español. After the music’s gradual exposure in Puerto Rico, it eventually evolved into a new musical style known as reggaeton.

South Bronx store Casa Amadeo remains go-to spot for Latin music fans

If the walls of Casa Amadeo could talk, they wouldn't. They'd sing. That is because Casa Amadeo is the oldest Latin music store in the South Bronx. Mike Amadeo has been running the mecca for both Latin musicians and music fans at 786Prospect Ave. since 1969.

Belinda Releases New Single Featuring Pitbull
Mexican pop star Belinda is all set for the release of her new album 'Carpe Diem', the third studio album in her blossoming career. The 20 year old singer is considered by many, to be Mexico's answer to Avril Lavigne or Kelly Clarkson. Belinda who was actually born in Spain, built her career as a popular Telenovela star when she was just 11 years old.

Jennifer Lopez already signed to new label; album 'Love?' to be released this summer
Jennifer Lopez is feeling the love from a new music label. A day after her manager confirmed J. Lo and Sony have parted ways, the pop star announced she has inked a new deal, Billboard.com reports.
Her upcoming album, "Love?", which was slated for an April release, will now come out this summer.

Mega TV is Pleased to Present: El Vacilon TV Show
Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc. ("SBS")announced today that their television division, Mega TV, will premiere "El Vacilon", a new comedic variety show which will be produced by Mega Films, winners of multiple Emmy Awards. The debut of "El Vacilon" will be on Saturday, March 6 at 9 p.m. (ET), 8 p.m. (CT), and 10 p.m. (PT).
